RobertMMO is an online multiplayer role playing-game. I’ve built the server in Node.js and the client in GameMaker. Latency compensation is baked into the client and server for smoother play. Data is stored in a MongoDB instance and I wrote a web server that can interface with the game logic.
Planned features include:
- Multiple servers for different components (login, game, web)
- Web-based client for smart watches
- Quests, combat, looting, and all the usual staples of an MMORPG
